Fighting from the saddle
Swords, hammers and polearms work from horseback. Aim down to reach footmen.
You fight from the saddle with your ordinary weapons, and every swing works as it does on foot: same damage, same swing directions. What changes is the height. You sit a metre and a half up, so a footman's chest is well below your crosshair.
- Your own horse never blocks your swing.
- Bows fire accurately from horseback, straight to the crosshair.
- The Lance is special: at a gallop it couches itself. See The couched lance.
- A horse can be killed under you. Keep an eye on its health.
