City armies
Your city can raise soldiers, march them across the realm and fight other armies, even while you are away.
A city with a Barracks or Stable can raise an army. Armies are the city's, not any one player's: they march, hold ground and fight on their own, around the clock. Near players they appear as real soldiers who fight in front of you.
- Recruit units from your Barracks and Stables. See Recruiting soldiers.
- March them out of the garrison into a field army.
- Order the army from the build bar's Army tab or the world map. See Ordering armies from afar.
- Command it yourself in the field when you are there. See Commanding in the field.
- Only the Guild Leader and Inner Council can recruit or give orders.
- Armies attack anyone on the city's kill-on-sight list, and whatever an order names. They always fight back when attacked, and never fight their own guild or nation.
- Armies never damage buildings. Walls fall to siege engines. See Siege engines.
