Deleting your account

How to delete your account and everything in it, what is kept, and how to change your mind within 14 days.

You can delete your Quest for Territory account at any time. Open Options (Esc menu) and press Delete account… under Account: it opens the deletion page on the website, which you can also reach directly at www.questforterritory.com/account/delete.

  1. Sign in again on the website when it asks, so that nobody else can delete your account from a computer you left signed in.
  2. Read what will be deleted, type your account name (or the word DELETE) and confirm.
  3. From that moment you cannot enter the game, and an email confirms the request.
  4. For 14 days you can change your mind: open the same page and press Keep my account. After that the deletion runs, and it cannot be undone.

Deleted: every character and everything they carry, wear and keep in the bank, their mail, auction listings, friends and blocks, and your sign-in account, website data and email address. A guild you lead passes to another member, as if you had deleted the character yourself.

Kept: letters you already sent stay with the people you sent them to; reports you filed are kept without your name; moderation records (bans and reports about you) are kept without your personal details, as the Privacy Policy explains. Backups expire on their own schedule. Your forum account is not part of this: to have it deleted too, email [email protected] (your posts then stay up without your name, unless you ask for them to go as well).
