When an ordinary building is destroyed it collapses into rubble: jagged walls and a heap of debris, tinted red. You still own the lot.

• Demolishing rubble salvages what a rank-1 building would return.
• Walls, gates, doors and outposts are removed outright when destroyed; they leave no rubble.
