Storage and the treasury
Goods only count when they sit in the right kind of storage. The treasury is the Heartwood's chest.
A city's stock is real goods in real chests:
| Building | Holds | Room per rank |
|---|---|---|
| Warehouse | Materials (lumber, stone, ore, tools, military goods…) | 2,000 |
| Storehouse | Materials | 1,500 |
| Granary | Food | 1,500 |
| Heartwood | Gold: the treasury | — |
- Goods only count in storage of their own kind. Bread left in the Heartwood's chest feeds nobody.
- Income that finds no room is lost. Build storage ahead of production.
- Storage buildings belong to the guild. Any member may open one and put goods in; only the Inner Council and above may take goods out.
- A destroyed storage building loses its whole stock.
