Auction House
Buy from other players, and sell to them, at any bank.
Open the auction house with /auction, or with Auction House in a Bursar's bank window. Anyone can browse from anywhere; posting and buying are done at a bank.
Buying
- Browse searches every listing in the realm: by name (in your language), by kind, by rarity, under a price, cheapest or newest first.
- A listing's goods wait at the bank where they were posted. Where shows that town and how far away it is.
- You pay the price and a delivery fee: 5 gold and 2 more for every kilometre between that bank and yours (counted up to 100 km), raised by 5% for each unit of the goods' weight, at most ten times over. Buying where the goods already are costs only the 5.
- Buy asks once more with the total. Carried gold is used first, then your bank's.
- The goods come to you as a parcel from the Auction House. Collect it at a bank once it has arrived: a minute for every kilometre it travels, never more than an hour.
Selling
- Under Post, at a bank, choose a stack from your pack, set a price for the whole stack and list it for 1, 3 or 7 days. To sell part of a stack, split it in your pack first.
- The posting fee is 10 gold and 1% of the price (at most 2,500), paid at once and never refunded. The bank you post at keeps it.
- When it sells, the banks keep a 5% commission, half at your bank and half at the buyer's. The rest comes to you as a parcel of gold from the bank the buyer paid at.
- You can have 30 listings standing. My listings shows them; Take down sends a listing's goods back to you as a parcel. One that ends unsold comes back the same way.
- Gold and horse figurines cannot be listed. A city's bulk goods (lumber, stone, ore, iron, planks, hides, food, ale, arms) can, but are never delivered: they are bought only at the bank where they lie and go straight into the buyer's pack, with no delivery fee. An unsold bulk listing comes back as a parcel you collect at that same bank.
