Herbs, weaving and potions

Cut herb patches with a sickle for flax and herbs. Weavers turn flax into cloth and cloth pieces; alchemists turn herbs into potions.

KeysF

Some of the wild bushes are herb patches: grassland has the most, and wetland, rainforest and the cold north a few. Carry a sickle in your bag, walk up to one and press F. A cut takes 4.5 seconds, a patch gives 3 to 6, and a spent patch is gone for 30 minutes before it grows back.

Patches follow the same tiers as trees and rocks (see Chopping trees and breaking rock). Sickles: the plain Reaping Sickle a town's Merchant sells, then Truesteel, Galvor, Mithril and Adamant ones for tiers 2 to 5, made by Axe and Hammer Smithing at a forge.

Weaving

At a loom (a town's weavers, a city's Tailor) Weaving turns flax into cloth, and cloth into robes, tunics, hoods and every other cloth piece.

Potions

At an alchemy table (a town's apothecary, a city's Magic Shop) Alchemy brews the potions the shops sell: the health, stamina and mana draughts from Willow Bark (tier 1), Milk of Mandrake, Ironhide Tincture and Fleetfoot Salve from Woad (tier 2), the greater attribute and defense potions from Madder Root (tier 3), Mana Regeneration and Attack Speed from Nightshade (tier 4) and the Greater Concoction from Silverleaf (tier 5). Most also want Magic Essence or a city's food. The window lists each recipe's materials.
